MENDOCINO CO., 2/11/26 — Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority will hold a tribal outreach and informational workshop this Thursday in Redwood Valley to educate the public about tribal housing and hear from community members about the challenges they are facing.

The workshop will be hosted by Northern Circle and the California Department of Housing and Community Development’s Tribal Affairs/California Indian Assistance Program.

“Housing solutions are stronger when we work together,” said Northern Circle in a Facebook announcement. “Learn about new tribal housing funding opportunities, help shape statewide housing strategies, and connect with partners and resources.”

Presenters at the workshop will also talk about the Tribal Housing Grant Program Trust Fund Advisory Committee, an agency created by the California Department of Housing and Community Development to guide how state funds are used for tribal communities. The workshop will show people how to apply to be on the committee and help represent Mendocino County tribes in housing decisions at the state level.

The workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Consolidated Tribal Health Project, 6991 N. State St., Redwood Valley. Attendees should register in advance by clicking on this link.
