UKIAH, CA., 1/20/26 – This week’s Featured Pet is Taz, available for adoption through the Ukiah Animal Shelter.

Baby Taz was found by a good samaritan, wandering alone in Redwood Valley this past December, at about eight weeks old. He was posted on social media, but no one claimed him. He went into foster care, where he has been thriving. He’s crate-trained, almost housebroken, knows “sit” and “down” and is learning “shake,” and knows his name. He’s gotten his first two puppy vaccines. He has two adult foster siblings to whom he’s the annoying little brother, and two other older adult foster siblings who are afraid of him because they don’t understand unpredictable puppy behavior. The best home for Taz will be one with folks committed to working with him and giving him lots of love and daily exercise. Taz is smart and learns quickly, so teaching him obedience and tricks will help him be the best dog he can be—and your best friend! Taz will be a medium to large adult. Please call or text Laura at Animal Rescue of Anderson Valley, 707-391-4043.
