MENDOCINO CO., 11/11/25 — Ahead of Veterans Day on Tuesday, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors announced a proclamation honoring the more than 50 veterans who are currently employed by the county.
At last week’s supervisors meeting, a proclamation was introduced to give thanks to the veterans and recognizing Tuesday, as Veterans Appreciation Day in Mendocino County.
Marine Corps veteran Lee Stipe and Air Force veteran Brian Webb, who both work for the county, were asked to stand at the podium and read the list of honored veterans before the board and several community members.
Stipe, who works for Animal Care Services, read the first half of the list honoring county employees who have served in the military. Webb, who works for the Mendocino County Planning and Building Services Department, continued to read the second half of the proclamation.
At the end of the reading, Supervisor John Haschak added, “Thank you and all the veterans of Mendocino County who have served our country.”
The three page proclamation can be found below.
The next board of supervisors meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Nov. 18 in the board chambers at 501 Low Gap Road, Ukiah. Meetings can also be watched virtually via Zoom. More information, including agendas, is available at this website.
