FORT BRAGG, CA., 5/1/25 – Edgewater Gallery welcomes two artists for its May exhibition, Karin Denson and Jima Abbott.

Painter, photographer and collage artist Karin Denson shares her fascination with bees, hummingbirds and butterflies in the exhibit “In the Company of Pollinators.”

In the exhibit, Denson hopes to celebrate the beauty of pollinators, humanity’s reliance on them, and the threat climate change has on their existence.

Jeweler Jima Abbott will also exhibit his wearable art.

The 82-year-old Abbott settled down in Fort Bragg after years of selling his silver and bronze works at art fairs across the country.

According to the gallery, the 82-year-old Abbott has been creating jewelry for over 55 years, dedicating much of his time to selling his pieces at art fairs across the country. He recently settled in Fort Bragg.

His necklaces, earrings and pins feature natural stones, detailed metal work, and whimsical and heartfelt themes, including hearts, wildlife and natural shapes.

The gallery is hosting a special opening on Friday as part of Fort Bragg’s First Friday event with light refreshments from 5-8 p.m.

The works of Karin Denson and Jima Abbott will be on display from May 2-31 at Edgewater Gallery, 356 N. Main St., Fort Bragg. More information can be found at edgewater-gallery.com
