FORT BRAGG, CA., 5/4/25 — Cinco de Mayo is no holiday for Fort Bragg construction workers. Cedar Street, Nancy Way, Cypress Street, Kemppe Way, Walnut Alley, as well as Ocean View, Boatyard, and South Harbor drives all will see broadband installation work on Monday.

Then on May 12, work begins on Rasmussen Lane, and on May 19, N. Sanderson and Franklin Street will be impacted.

Construction is of various durations, depending on project needs: for example, Cypress St. delays are expected until May 23, while construction on Kemppe Way is planned until May 16.

Please drive safely, leave ample time for delays along these routes, and remember that the schedules can change depending on weather and what crews encounter during mapping or drilling.

On April 28, the Fort Bragg City Council voted unanimously to take out a loan from EverBank to close the $7-million gap between grant funding and the cost of the Middle-Mile Broadband Network, which will make high-speed internet available to every address within the city limits. Work began on April 21. See this for more details.
