MENDOCINO CO., 11/20/24 – The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for southeastern Mendocino County as flood risk increases due to the heavy storm battering the region. 

The advisory is in effect until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday for Ukiah, Calpella, Redwood Valley and Hopland. Most of Lake County is also under advisory.  

“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. There will be an increased risk of rock and landslides along roadways,” said the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
