WILLITS, CA., 10/8/24 – The Willits Community Theatre is seeking children and adults for its upcoming holiday play “Believe” by Faye Couch Reeves.  Auditions will take place this Saturday and next week. 

“Believe” tells the story of Alex Norton, a teenage boy who is disgusted at the commercialization of Christmas,” said the theater’s call for actors. “As the play unfolds, various things happen to Alex, which persuade him that Christmas means more than just getting presents.”  

The theatre is looking for: 

  • 5 men and 7 women ages 30 and up 
  • 2 teenage boys and 10 teenage girls  
  • 5 boys and 5 girls between the ages of 5 and 12 

Robert Ford, who directed the theater’s 2018 production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and “Annie Jr.” in 2012, is directing “Believe.”  

Performances of “Believe” will take place on the second and third weekends in December, starting Friday, Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 22.  

Auditions will take place at the Willits Community Theatre on the following days: 

  • Saturday, Oct. 12 at noon 
  • Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. 
  • Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m.
