MENDOCINO CO., 10/16/24 – An earthquake with a magnitude 2.6 struck in Mendocino County on Wednesday afternoon according to the United States Geological Survey.
The tremblor struck at 12:27 p.m. Its epicenter was 6.4 miles west of Hopland, just north of Yorkville, the survey said.
There were no power outages reported, according to PG&E.
The small quake comes a day before thousands of Mendocino County residents will participate in the world’s largest earthquake drill, the Great ShakeOut.
