MENDOCINO Co., 1/27/22 — Are you a Mendocino or Lake county resident that made $66,000 a year or less in 2021, and needs help with your taxes? Then you are eligible for North Coast Opportunities’s (NCO) free tax preparation assistance, which will begin in February and last through April 16, 2022. Tax payers do not have to make an appointment for the free consultations, but can drop in at one of the locations listed below in Ukiah, Lakeport, Clearlake, and Fort Bragg to get assistance.
The program is also looking for volunteers who could serve as “Spanish/English interpreters and certified IRS tax preparer volunteers who are comfortable with computers. Contact Kayla at kharrison@ncoinc.org to sign up,” according to the press release from NCO.
