MENDOCINO CO., 5/25/18 — The Wildlife Conservation Board of the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) has awarded The Nature Conservancy a 4.4 million dollar grant towards a conservation easement along Ten Mile River near Fort Bragg, which will help restore 23,681 acres of forest.

The cooperative project will be undertaken by The Nature Conservancy, CalFire, the State Coastal Conservancy and the California Natural Resources Agency, and is part of 13 million dollars in conversation grants awarded by the WCB at the agency’s March 24 quarterly meeting.
