MENDOCINO Co., 4/3/2018 — Want to learn how to dye cloth with mushrooms, or go to a “topless tapas” circus and apocalypse prom, attend a goat and wildflower festival, go to a haiku competition, see people draw til they drop, or watch models walk down the runway in dresses built from trash? Or are you just a little curious about what kinds of art and music your friends and neighbors have been making?
Whatever it is you’ve been looking for, the second annual “Almost Fringe” Festival is back to satisfy all of those urges. The festival begins this week and continues through the whole month of April, with more than 40 art events and performances taking place around the county. Whether you want to explore the Anderson Valley, the Coast, or the inland “Redwood Corridor,” there are ukulele festivals, wine in “The Shadow of Frank Lloyd Wright,” a “bio-blitz,” limericks and pickles, dangerous puppets, open studios, nature walks, and much much more.
