Much of my life is structured around food; growing crops and raising livestock so that my family and community may eat well. I’m learning more and more to enjoy cooking the results of these labors. I’m so glad to be back to roasting weather, using the oven with glee as cool nights return and Hotober is over. We are gathering in the work of our year, filling dry sheds, freezers and larders and packaging and canning to last us the winter and to share with our customers.
