MENDOCINO CO., 12/21/24 – A portion of state Highway 175 is closed in Hopland due to flooding, Caltrans announced Sunday.
Highway 175 is closed from its junction with U.S. Highway 101 to East Side Road a.k.a. Old River Road south of Old Hopland.
The closure comes as an atmospheric river blankets the region, resulting in a countywide flood warning. A localized warning for the Russian River in Hopland is in place until 2 a.m. Monday.
The highway floods like clockwork when heavy rains inundate the area.
No estimated time of reopening has been provided by Caltrans. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
