MENDOCINO CO., 7/22/25 — A 43-year-old man was arrested following a fatal head-on collision on U.S. Highway 101 north of Laytonville on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Justino Faenzi-Glass, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence and child endangerment following the crash reported around 2:40 p.m. Monday on Highway 101 at mile marker 76, CHP officials said.
Investigators determined Faenzi-Glass was driving a Porsche north on the highway with two children inside his vehicle when he allowed it to cross over solid double yellow lines and collide head-on with a Honda traveling south, according to the CHP.
The Honda driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead following the crash. The person’s name was not immediately available.
Neither child in the Porsche was injured, and they were released to a relative at the scene. Faenzi-Glass was booked into Mendocino County Jail on $250,000 bail, according to jail records.
