MENDOCINO CO., 9/27/2016 – Mendocino County will be experience a touch of traffic this week as Caltrans does construction on three major roads. There will be controlled one-way traffic on Routes 1, 20, and 101, due to construction and maintenance.

Route 1: 7.2 miles south of the junction with Route 20, 7am-5pm Tuesday-Friday, due to construction. This is just north of the Town of Mendocino, where the 1 crosses over the Russian Gulch.

Route 20: There will be one way controlled traffic on the 20 starting from 2.1 miles east of the junction with Route 1, right past Summers Ln., for several miles, through half a mile west of Dunlap, from 7:30am-2:30pm daily, Mon-Thurs, due to construction. Drivers can expect ten-minute delays. Dunlap is north-northwest of Comptche.

Also, from 1.1 miles east of the Mendocino/Lake County line to 1.9 miles west of Witter Springs in Lake County, 7am-7pm Mon-Fri, due to maintenance.

Highway 101: From 1.6 miles north of Willits all the way up almost to Leggett, 2.4 miles south of the junction with Route 271, 5am-7pm daily, due to construction.
