UKIAH, CA., 3/13/26 – The Ukiah Branch Library will close to the public starting Tuesday, March 17, while crews install new front windows, doors and a safer walkway.
The library will reopen on Tuesday, March 24.
Library officials said the work will replace the building’s existing entrance with new windows featuring safety glass, new front doors and a non-slip concrete walkway.
The library’s book drop will remain open during the closure so patrons can continue returning materials.
Once the entry project is finished, the library will also install a new exterior book drop funded by the Friends of the Ukiah Valley Library and other donors.
And while the physical library will be closed for renovations, the online library is always open for eBooks, magazines, audiobooks, music, videos and more to download at https://www.mendolibrary.org/.
