MENDOCINO CO., 3/21/26 – Dharma Realm Buddhist University, just east of Ukiah, has opened three exhibitions as part of its Spring 2026 Arts Initiative.
The exhibits include “Wild Mendocino,” featuring photographs by Redwood Valley nature and wildlife photographer Benjamin Carrero; “The Year of Mindful Blessings,” a collection of calligraphy, paintings and seal carvings by Taiwanese Buddhist monastic artist Venerable Shide; and the fifth annual DRBU Community Art Show, which includes more than 170 works by students, faculty, staff and local community members.
Carrero’s photographs were taken in locations including Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve and along the Mendocino coast, capturing landscapes, wildlife and plant life across the region.
The exhibitions are open to the public through May 31 on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the DRBU Building, 5950 Proper View Ave., Ukiah. Weekend visits are available by appointment. Visit https://www.drbu.edu/ for more information.
