MENDOCINO CO., 2/18/26 – Several Mendocino County schools are closed or operating on an alternative schedule Wednesday, Feb. 18, according to the Mendocino County Office of Education. The closures and schedule changes are due to winter storm impacts.
The following schools and districts are affected:
- Laytonville Unified — Closed
- Leggett Valley Unified School District — Closed (Independent Study)
- Potter Valley Community Unified — Late start
- Sherwood Elementary School (Willits Unified) — Closed
- Willits Charter School — Closed
- Willits Elementary Charter School — Closed
- Willits Unified – Closed
Officials said the list includes public schools, including charter schools, and will be updated as conditions change.
Fort Bragg Unified, Manchester Elementary, Round Valley Unified and Point Arena Schools are closed as part of a planned Presidents Week closure.
