UPDATE, 2/25/26 – According to the Mendocino County Republicans, the meet-and-greet with Sheriff Chad Bianco is sold out. Tickets will not be available at the door.

MENDOCINO CO., 2/20/26 – Riverside County Sheriff and Republican gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco will appear at a meet-and-greet Friday in Redwood Valley.  

According to event organizers, Bianco is expected to discuss issues including public safety, homelessness, immigration policy and state governance. Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions. 

Bianco has served as Riverside County sheriff since 2019 and announced his gubernatorial campaign in 2025. He is one of 24 candidates — including seven Republicans — seeking voter support ahead of the June primary. Bianco is also the first gubernatorial candidate to make a public appearance in Mendocino County so far this year. 

The event, organized by the Mendocino County Republicans, will be held Friday, Feb. 27, at Barra of Mendocino, 7501 N. State St., Redwood Valley. 

General admission tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple and include appetizers and one adult beverage. Student tickets for ages 12–18 are $20 at the door. More information is available at https://mendocountygop.org/.

  1. A GOP candidate for Governor is coming here. Remember Newsom coming here and standing in a dried up area of Lake Mendocino in 2021, telling us about the impacts of climate change on water supplies?
    Bianco should go to the lake, stand on the shoreline and tell everyone, “It rained.”

  2. Can’t wait to hear what he has to say. Out of all the candidates I’m aware of, he seems to be in it for the people ocf California and not for personal gain or to be a puppet for his party.
