UKIAH, CA., 2/26/26 – Adventist Health Ukiah Valley has added a new physician to its medical staff, the health care provider said Monday.

Tyler Laubach, a doctor of osteopathic medicine and board-certified family medicine physician, is now seeing patients at Adventist Health’s Ukiah medical office.

Laubach provides primary care for patients of all ages, including wellness visits, preventive care and treatment of chronic conditions. He also has additional training in obstetrics and offers prenatal care, women’s health services and deliveries.

In addition to his clinical work, Laubach serves as faculty in the hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program, helping train physicians in Mendocino County.

Laubach said he was drawn to Ukiah for its small town character and community atmosphere, which reminds him of growing up in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania.

His hiring comes at a critical time as rural counties across California face ongoing challenges recruiting and retaining physicians, particularly in primary and maternity care, due in part to workforce shortages and the financial pressures facing rural hospitals.
