MENDOCINO CO., 2/24/26 – A portion of state Highway 128 is closed in Anderson Valley due to flooding Tuesday, said Caltrans.

Highway 128 is closed from its junction with state Highway 1 to the Flynn Creek Bridge just west of Navarro.

Motorists can use Comptche-Ukiah Road (via Flynn Creek Road) or Mountain View Road as alternate routes.

The closure comes as an atmospheric river continues to inundate the region with heavy rain. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Navarro River reached 14.9 feet Thursday afternoon, resulting in flooding on the highway.

The area remains under a flood watch until 10 p.m., the weather service said.

No estimated time of reopening has been provided by Caltrans.

Caltrans asks motorists to track current road conditions at https://roads.dot.ca.gov/ or by calling 1 (800) 427-7623.
