MENDOCINO CO., 2/25/26 – Applications are now open for the 2026 Good Farm Fund Farm Grant Program, which supports small and mid-sized food farms in Mendocino and Lake counties.

The annual program funds capacity-building projects that strengthen local agriculture, increase food production for local consumption, and expand access to affordable food for underserved communities.

Grants are available in three tiers: up to $3,000; $3,000 to $5,000; and $5,000 to $10,000 for collaborative, multi-farm projects designed to provide broader community benefit.

Eligible applicants must have at least one year of experience managing a commercial food farm or ranch in Mendocino or Lake counties and provide proof of business operations.

Funding must be used solely for agricultural production and cannot cover operating expenses. Hobby farms, agritourism ventures, flower farms or value-added businesses (i.e., bakeries) are ineligible.

Applications are due March 20. Visit https://www.goodfarmfund.org/farm-grant-program/ to learn more.
