UKIAH, CA., 2/17/26 – The School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education, better known as SPACE, will host a screening of the documentary “I Know Catherine, The Log Lady” on Friday at its Ukiah theater.
The film focuses on the life and career of Catherine Coulson, who portrayed the Log Lady in the television series Twin Peaks. The 1990 series developed a lasting cult following and was widely noted for its surreal style.
Beyond her role in the series created by David Lynch, Coulson built a long career in regional theater, including work with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and was active in environmental causes.
SPACE Executive Director Laurel Near said the screening also carries personal significance, noting that Coulson was a close friend of her sister, Timothy Near, who is interviewed in the documentary.
The screening begins at 6 p.m. at SPACE Theater, 508 W. Perkins St., Ukiah. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth ages 13 and up. More information is available at http://www.spaceperformingarts.org or by calling (707) 462-9370.
