MENDOCINO CO., 2/17/26 – A cold weather advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Wednesday for southeastern Mendocino County and southern Lake County, according to the National Weather Service in Eureka.
Forecasters say temperatures could fall to around 25 degrees overnight in areas including Ukiah, Talmage and Hopland, as well as Lakeport, Middletown, Clearlake and surrounding communities.
The cold conditions increase the risk of frostbite and hypothermia for anyone exposed to the elements without proper protection.
The weather service urges residents to wear layered clothing, hats and gloves if traveling outdoors. Pets should be kept indoors when possible, and outdoor animals should have access to warm shelter, food and unfrozen water.
