FORT BRAGG, CA., 1/8/26 — Police in Fort Bragg arrested a man on parole suspected of drug dealing, the department said Wednesday.
On Tuesday at about 11 p.m., officers allegedly saw a man riding an electric scooter on the wrong side of the road in the 400 block of Walnut Street. Police lost sight of the suspect but then saw him running from a yard back to his scooter, and he was detained, they said.
The suspect, Ismael Martinez, 51, was on parole out of Los Angeles County for drug-related crimes, police said.
A search of Martinez’s backpack allegedly revealed a digital scale. A search of the area in which he was running allegedly uncovered a flashlight with a broken methamphetamine pipe attached to it and 23 grams of suspected meth inside it.
Martinez was booked into jail on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance for sale, and violating his parole.
Martinez’s bail was set at $100,000, and as of Wednesday, he was still in custody, according to jail records.

Good work police. He needs help of course –and punishment for spreading his illness to other victims. What didn’t work in regard to his past incarnation -was he truly clean from addiction upon release, and if not why not? Prisons need to punish, but also make people better humans in the process. At least they should try. We’ve landed crafts on the moon and mars, and our President wants a $T pentagon annual budget to make never-ending war$. Where are our priorities?
