FORT BRAGG, CA., 1/31/26 – A Fort Bragg teenager was arrested Wednesday in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred in the city late last year, according to the Fort Bragg Police Department.

Police responded to reports of a drive-by shooting in the 200 block of West Spruce Street just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2025. Investigators said an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds into a residence before fleeing the area in a gray sport utility vehicle.

Following an investigation that included witness interviews, evidence collection, video surveillance review and the service of multiple warrants, officers identified a 16-year-old Fort Bragg resident as the suspected shooter, police said.

On Wednesday, officers received information that the juvenile was at a location in the 23000 block of Highway 1.

Fort Bragg police, working with the Mendocino Major Crimes Task Force, conducted surveillance at the site. At about 5 p.m., officers observed the suspect attempting to flee on foot and took the juvenile into custody without incident, police said.

During the arrest, officers said they located a loaded 9mm “ghost gun” and an additional loaded magazine on the juvenile, along with a box of ammunition and suspected controlled substances.

The juvenile was transported to Mendocino County Juvenile Hall and booked on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm, possessing a ghost gun, being a minor in possession of a handgun, having a felony juvenile warrant and possessing a controlled substance.

Police also arrested 40-year-old Marvin Aldanacisneros on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact. He was transported to the Mendocino County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police said they are continuing to identify additional suspects and evidence. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Beak of the Fort Bragg Police Department at (707) 961-2800, ext. 224.
