MENDOCINO Co., 4/24/2017 — One lane of Highway 101 north of Leggett has been cleared, though there is still some safety work to do before the road can be opened to traffic. CalTrans expects to open one lane tonight, and a second lane two to three months from now. The contractor is Ghilotti Construction, out of Santa Rosa. Here’s a photo of the road from about 5am today:
Bell Springs Road is still closed to non-resident through traffic. Route 1 is still closed from 1.45 miles south of Mill Bank Road to South Fork Eel River. There is still work on Route 162 at The Middle Way. There is still one-way traffic control on Route 175 at the entrance of Motorcycle Park and near Buckman Drive.
