On 01-16-2017 at approximately 11:30 AM Bonner County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin M. Penn was shot three times by a suspect while trying to serve an arrest warrant.Deputy Penn worked for the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office from August 2008 until January 2011. Penn left Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office in a time when layoffs looked eminent.
Penn has been working as a Deputy Sheriff in Idaho since that time. As is normal in this type of incident little information is available at this time.
Deputy Penn is listed in fair condition and the men and women of the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office wish him a speedy recovery.
